As 2019 draws near, it seems appropriate to begin looking at what the new calendar year will bring. Worth paying attention to is ABC’s 23rd Season of The Bachelor, which will premiere on January 7th and star former professional football player Colton Underwood.
The choice to cast Underwood as the show’s main love interest has left many fans of the franchise disappointed. Some have claimed that the former football player is a nice guy and boring while others questioned his judgement in dating preferences based off the behaviors he exhibited in spin-off shows The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise. However, the major talking point concerning Underwood has been his choice to remain a virgin at age 26.
Underwood’s virginity has been a topic of interest throughout his reality show career from when he revealed this information to star of The Bachelorette Becca Kufrin earlier this year. There have been mixed feelings about his life choice. For example, The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise alum Corinne Olympios reportedly stated that Underwood is lying about being a virgin. Moreover, when speaking on the future Bachelor star, talk show host Wendy Williams mentioned that she does not trust people who have never had sex.
