Male here, so your experience doesn’t apply to me, though I know some men also have nipple piercings. This piece was pretty informative. I’ve never thought about nipple shape when it comes to piercings, but I’ve always wondered about the healing process. With that being such a sensitive area and potential place for a bra/clothing to catch onto — sorry about your experience — the sex appeal angle never stood out to me. But hey, to each their own.

My question to you is what made you think getting such a piercing was liberating or “sexy?” Did you have other potential suitors in mind when deciding on going through with the process? Had you been influenced by other women you knew/saw? Also, do you still feel, outside of your personal experience, that nipple piercings have sex appeal? I’m just curious to know your take.
