Seems we’re reverting back to the 60s here in America, although some might say we’ve never left. I thoroughly enjoyed this piece. I could feel your frustration while reading. Glad you mentioned voting Democratic down-ballot. Did you hear about that idea through Yvette Carnell and the ADOS movement? I’ve been having discussions with family about voting. My opinion has always been that our ancestors fought for the RIGHT to vote. Not that we have to vote. So, anyone who who chooses not to support Biden or Trump I won’t fault. It’s hard out here, and either candidate, though Biden is definitely better than Trump (his covert racism is suspect, though), won’t change the harsh conditions of Blacks in this country, in my humble opinion.
