Hello John,

Thank you for sharing this article from The Guardian! After reading, I definitely see where you are coming from. Using biblical scriptures to promote dislike for certain groups, especially non-White groups, like the “Muslim terrorists” described in the article you shared, is dangerous. Indoctrination of youth — White youth — with these ideals and using patriotism as a justification is extremely problematic.

What I found particularly interesting in the article you shared was the “Biblical Basis for War” document that politician Matt Shea, who is connected with those training for “biblical warfare” (i.e. White people — men — who want the country to be ruled by Whites), distributed in 2018. This document touched on the need to “kill all males.” I wonder if there is any connection between this document/mindset and the killing of unarmed Black men and other men of color by police. Do you think there are police officers that have been indoctrinated with this “biblical warfare” mindset? I’m curious to know your thoughts (or anyone else reading my response).
