As a Black man in the US, I can assure you that President Trump is far from being my first and foremost enemy. Remember the demographic largely responsible for voting him in office and that harbors racist ideologies which threaten my life on a daily basis. Bette Midler is a member of this demographic. My ask is that you consider the perspective of a Black individual, especially when referring to President Trump as an enemy. He is a part of a system that has never protected Black people. That’s all I have to say on this matter.
